Beech Hill Garage is a family run business set up in 1979 by Ted and Sally de la Rivière. When trying to restore his MGB Ted saw a niche in the market for providing MG spares and restoration services. At that time very few companies specialised in classic cars. With his background in Formula 1 and Le Mans racing in the 60’s the step into the world of classic cars was an easy move to make.

The company is now run by their son William and his wife Louise following Ted and Sally’s retirement in February 2002. William grew up with the business and says that although he is a qualified Architect, “classic cars and particularly MGs are in the blood”. In 2000 William won the MGCC MG Metro Cup Race Championship. “The energy, determination and commitment required to get to the top of a national race championship is great preparation for running your own busy business,” explained William.

William and Louise continue to develop the company by offering a complete range of services for the MG owner with any age of vehicle. In addition to the MGB and Midget range they have identified the need of modern MG owners for quality service and repairs for their MGF, TF, ZR, ZS and ZT models. As such their workload on the modern MGs and Rovers is currently the business’ fastest growing line of work. With the demise of the MG Rover franchises Beech Hill Garage has taken on the status of MG Rover AutoService Centre providing all main dealer facilities for modern MG and Rover cars with full T4 Diagnostic equipment and knowledgeable staff.
